Sustainability

Sustainable workout clothes

Sustainability is important to us at Humble Athletics. For us, sustainability means creating clothes that are well-made and of high quality, so that you can wear them for a long time. Our goal is not to release new collections every new season, instead we want to create clothes according to your needs so that you can use your Humble products for a long time and with a clear conscience.

The majority of our clothing is manufactured in Europe and a smaller part in Asia. Our factories take their sustainability work very seriously. They have a number of sustainability certifications, such as the Seaqual Initiative, Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) and Better Cotton Initiative (BCI). These certifications place demands on the factory and help us produce sustainable clothing. The Seaqual Initiative is a network of companies, individuals and organizations that together clean the oceans of litter and work to create awareness about the problem of marine litter.

Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) is a standard used to verify recycled material throughout the production chain. Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is an initiative that works for a more sustainable production of cotton. BCI works for better production, transparency in the market, traceability and good working conditions.

Sustainable materials

The majority of our clothing contains between 88-96% organic or recycled materials. Our t-shirts and tracksuits contain 96% organic cotton. The organic cotton does not contain any harmful chemicals, which is better for the environment, the people and you who will wear the garment.

This also makes organic cotton extra good for those with sensitive skin.

Smart returns

Our warehouse is located outside Malmö and it is from here that all products are shipped and returned to. If you need to return a product, it is sent back to the warehouse, which reduces some transport.

But why are we writing about it, you might wonder? Well, because there are a lot of clothing brands that use return warehouses in other countries, which means that a piece of clothing can be sent between several countries before it ends up with the right buyer. We don't think that's environmentally sustainable.
